The Institute publishes its research in open access wherever it can, so that readers everywhere may use it freely. We encourage researchers to share the data and materials behind their findings, with care for privacy and consent, so that others can verify and build on the work.

Each project sets out a plan for its data: how it is collected, stored, and protected, and how it may be shared once a study is complete. Personal data is anonymized before it is shared, and sensitive data is held securely and released only in forms that protect the people it describes.
