The Canadian Institute for Middle East and Gulf Studies has launched its redesigned online hub. The new site presents the Institute's mission and governance, gathers its news and activities in one place, and connects readers directly to its six portals: the peer-reviewed journal, the conference space, the training academy, the writers platform, the publishing house, and the research hub.
A front door to the Institute network
Each portal of the Institute lives on its own dedicated address and keeps its own editorial rhythm. The hub ties them together. From the homepage, readers can reach the latest issues of the journal, upcoming conferences and seminars, open courses at the academy, and new titles from the press.
The redesign also introduces a news section, where the Institute publishes announcements, calls for papers, and reports on its activities, and a membership section, where researchers, students, and institutions can join the Institute's community.
Built for readers and researchers
The new site was designed for fast, accessible reading on any device. It follows current web standards for performance and accessibility, and its content is structured so that scholars, librarians, and search tools can cite the Institute's work accurately.
Feedback on the new site is welcome at the Institute's general address, cimeg@cimeg.ca.
